Q&A with Tom
Your home is your sanctuary.
How did you get started doing this type of work?

After working in various construction trades throughout my youth, college, and adult life, I decided to start Schultz Home Improvement in my mid twenties. I was hardly scraping by in the beginning but job after job I earned customers trust and delivered on every promise. One satisfied customer referred two more and so on. Today I ensure each team member and subcontractors on our jobs practices the same simple concepts.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Two things: #1. Ask yourself, are you looking for the lowest price or the best value? Schultz Home Improvement customers know there is a difference. #2. Why should I work with your company? The answer is simple, when compared to the small number of local companies that can offer a similar level of excellence in service, we stand out because we know and care about each and every one of our customers on a personal level.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

It's hard to choose! My favorite types of projects involve re-configuring walls and layouts in an existing home to better suit the family's needs or building from the ground up. I love the unique challenges these types of projects create, seeing the transformation, and feeling the family's excitement when their home is transformed. There is nothing more satisfying! These projects involve thoughtful design, a large nextwork of trusted trade specific craftsmen, our on-staff carpenters, and careful project oversight/ coordination.
